After the degreaser, you'll use 80 grit to carefully rough up the cabinets a bit. Especially if there is an oak grain that you want to get rid of. You could go as far as filling those in with joint compound if you wanted to go that far!

The sure way to make sure all dust is off is with Denatured Alcohol. Fumes are tough so make sure you have airflow and a mask on! If not, the tack cloth is the way to go!
